धुन

याद आई आज धुन पुरानी,

जो हुआ करती थी, कभी दिल की दीवानी।

मन मचल बैठा था उस धुन पर,

अब खुली आँखों में अतीत ने दी दस्तक सुहानी।

अब यादों का मौसम भी छाने लगा,

वो शख़्स भी यादों में आने लगा।

मैं ख़्वाहिशों के सुर को संजोने लगी थी,

दिल उनकी और मैं दिल की सुनने लगी थी।

वक़्त यही और दौर वही,

इनमें इतना ही फ़र्क़ सही।

वो सिलसिला वादों का,

और ये उनकी यादों का।

मैं कभी उस वक़्त में,

तो कभी उनकी यादों में खोती।

वो दूर हैं मुझसे, और मैं अक्सर

उनकी यादों के क़रीब होती।
